Can GAL Deliver Results Faster Than an OEM?

For the Bombardier Q400, our client had challenges with getting parts from the OEM for their lighting and oxygen systems. Long lead times and slow responses were stopping their project in its tracks. We overcame this obstacle by designing and manufacturing our own parts (even designing and creating cabin cockpit controls). With rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and other agile manufacturing methods, we developed the entire system independently of the OEM (even designing and creating cockpit controls).

Bright Ideas for LED Airplane Interior Lighting

Right now, LED illumination is drawing attention for safety and comfort in aircraft environments.

• Replace 120v lighting with low voltage, diode-based bulbs to reduce risks inside the cabin. Energy efficient, versatile, and aesthetically pleasing.
• Full programmable control of temperature and color. Adjust lighting during long flights to reduce fatigue and improve passenger experience.
